Related to Shamrock important career fight will be on April 11, 2009 as Strikerforce and Showtime officially announced his match against Nick Diaz at 179pounds. The Frank Shamrock vs. Nick Diaz live match will be at HP Pavillion in San Jose, 10PM/ET.
Remembering Shamrock’s 21 seconds knock-out fight against Diaz coach Cesar Gracie last March 10, 2006 and having the highest paid attendance for an MMA event will serve as a revenge on Nick Diaz side.
“I do know him (Diaz) personally, Nick Diaz is very similar to me. We both grew up in a broken home with abusive parents. We have that in common. He’s gone on an MMA quest, going to all the gyms; he even trained with my father for a few minutes. We have common ties. But I know as a fact he wasn’t too happy when I knocked out his coach, Cesar Gracie (in 2006). I think he’s a nice guy but I’m going to knock him out and move on to the next one.” Shamrock said in an interview with yahoo sports.
